These terms govern your use of the Platingoes app and platingoes.app, operated by Platingoes B.V.. Buying or using Platingoes means you accept them.
What Platingoes is
Platingoes is a visual cooking companion: guided steps, synchronised timers, looping technique clips and plating blueprints, intended to be used live in a kitchen. It is a reference and teaching tool. It is not a food-safety authority, a nutritionist or an allergen database.
Cooking safely is your call
Heat, blades, oil and raw ingredients are dangerous. Timers and temperatures in Platingoes assume equipment in good order and are starting points, not guarantees. Always cook to safe internal temperatures, judge doneness yourself, and follow local food-safety guidance. We are not liable for injury, illness, spoiled ingredients or ruined dinner parties resulting from following a step, a timer or a blueprint.
Allergens: ingredient lists are provided for convenience and may be incomplete or out of date. If someone at your table has an allergy or intolerance, verify every ingredient at the source.
Licences, purchases and prices
- Taster is free and may change or end at any time.
- Kitchen Pass is a one-time purchase of a personal, non-transferable licence to the app, its library at the time of purchase, and all version 1 updates. It is not a licence to redistribute content.
- Chef’s Table is a monthly subscription, cancellable in the app at any time, effective at the end of the current period. We do not pro-rate part months.
- Prices are shown in EUR including VAT where applicable. Announced early-access pricing is honoured for the first 1,000 purchases.
Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
You have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content without giving a reason. Because Platingoes delivers immediately, you are asked to confirm at checkout that you want access straight away and that you lose the right of withdrawal once the content has been made available. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play follow those stores’ refund processes.
Your content
Recipes, notes and photos you create stay yours. If you choose to share a recipe with the Platingoes community, you give us a non-exclusive licence to display and format it inside the product; you can withdraw that by deleting the shared copy.
Our content
Technique clips, blueprints, photography, copy, icons and code are owned by Platingoes or its contributing chefs. Personal use in your own kitchen is exactly what they are for. Republishing, reselling, scraping, model training on the library, or using it to run a paid class requires written permission. We do grant it; just ask.
Fair use of the service
- Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse the service or its DRM.
- Do not share a personal licence across a commercial kitchen brigade; ask us about a kitchen licence instead.
- Do not upload anything unlawful, or anyone else’s copyrighted recipe text.
Availability and beta features
Features marked beta (recipe import, camera overlay) may change or disappear. The app is built to work offline, so a service outage should not stop dinner, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability of online features.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited under Dutch or EU law. Statutory consumer conformity rights are unaffected.
Governing law
Dutch law applies, and the courts of Amsterdam have jurisdiction, without depriving consumers of the protection of their country of residence. Before going to court, email [email protected]; most disputes are a misunderstanding about a timer.
Drafting note for the Platingoes team: this page ships with the theme as a complete starting point for a Dutch/EU launch. Have counsel review it and then delete this paragraph before go-live.
